Hello

We are here today, to say goodbye
With our family and our friends
To mourn the loss of one we love
But this is not the end

Although all of us will miss you
This Christian family knows
While we are here to say goodbye
Jesus Christ has said "Hello"

"For to be absent from this life" Paul said
"Is to be present with the Lord"
Still, those of us who loved you most
Have found this awful hard

But, from the moment in which you left us
You were placed in his embrace
For accepting him as Savior
Your reward for this...is Grace

"For eye has not seen, nor ear has heard
The things he has in store"
We know that you are with him now
In a place, with so much more

A new life has been given you
He has restored again your soul
And forever, you will be with him
When you heard him say..."Hello"

Funeral Poems:

Nancy Hill

This poem was inspired after attending my aunts funeral this year. Each of her children spoke of the gospel hymns they sang at home while growing up, along with stories of the example she set for them. Aunt Nancy helped to raise my father after their mother died when he was very young. I hope others can find peace in the words of this poem.
