Why did you have to leave us
whilst you were still so young
There were so many things to tell you
There were so many things still to be done
I hope you know how much we loved you
every minute of every day
And how much we miss you
in each and every way.
And as our sad daily path we wend
we see your face at every bend
Your laugh your smile your wicked wit
not to be forgotten by all you met
How you must have suffered in your mortal fight
And how scared you were in the middle of the night
And now your body is at peace again
so keep on smiling
