Jim Bell
After spending his early years in the tiny Kent village of Wouldham, near Rochester, Jim Bell now lives in nearby Chatham. He worked as a Materials Technician in a Plastics Factory for 38 years, and was married for 38 years when his wife, Dolly, died in 2010. He has two sons and four grandchildren, and has been writing poetry for the past eight years. He has injected his less poignant work with a sense of humour, and keeps verses short, and easy to read. He has reflected on his life and family, plus slightly exaggerated versions of mishaps encountered at work, entwined with observations of the disabled and their harrowing situations, in an enjoyable and enthusiastic style.
